About the team
The Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) team sits within the wider practice group Private Business and Family Advisory. SMSF team creates value and improves the way our clients work by providing advice such as; asset protection, business performance, business reporting, accounting and taxation management, wealth protection and generational change management.
About the role
As a Senior Analyst within the SMSF team, you will collaboratively work with the management group to build strategies for our clients to support their wealth for retirement, whilst ensuring that regulatory requirements are met.
You will lead the preparation of SMSF financial statements and tax returns, applying technical expertise to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will collaborate with key stakeholders and provide strategic support across all facets of SMSF operations.
We actively encourage and support post graduate studies and recognise hard work through our time in lieu and flexible working arrangements. In addition, you will be mentored by senior experts within the group and participate in regular professional development training to further develop your knowledge and skills.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of SMSF compliance requirements;
- Preparation of SMSF Financial Statements;
- Support and provision of SMSF advice to our clients and key stakeholders;
- Liaising with external Auditors; and
- Team collaboration.
Who we're after
Here are the some of the key qualifications, skills and personal attributes we're looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not all – that's ok We'd still love for you to apply.
- Related tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance, you are working towards or are CA or CPA qualified and have practical SMSF experience within a professional services firm.
- Action orientated, showing initiative and taking responsibility for actions and task completion. Making sure that client expectations are being achieved.
- As an aspiring leader you are ambitious, act with integrity and can easily influence and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
