Our client is seeking an experienced
Cost Engineer
to join their team and help deliver a better future for the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transform project data into meaningful insights for decision-makers
  • Enhance cost control tools, processes, and procedures
  • Partner with project managers and budget holders to monitor and manage budgets
  • Prepare accurate cost reports and forecasts to support project delivery
  • Review of contractor/vendor variations and claims
  • Support risk mitigation strategies and cost-related project reviews
  • Mentor and develop junior cost control professionals
  • Continuously improve cost control standards and maintain a historical cost database

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in cost control, preferably within the Oil & Gas or process industry on large-scale projects
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in cost data analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills to manage and process large datasets and cost information for client billing
  • Quantity Surveying qualification (highly regarded)
  • Proven expertise in cost forecasting, variance analysis, and estimating techniques
  • Ability to develop project budgets, standards, processes, and procedures
  • Strong understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) throughout the project lifecycle
  • Demonstrated leadership and team supervision experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
