Our client, based in Gepps Cross, is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their growing team.

About the Role:

This position offers a competitive hourly rate and additional allowances to promote a healthy work-life balance. You will combine leadership with hands-on technical work, becoming a pivotal player in daily maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Leading maintenance schedules while implementing proactive and preventative measures, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
• Working directly with electrical systems and leveraging your strong mechanical aptitude to assist mechanical fitters as needed.
• Performing PLC fault finding and troubleshooting, managing motor control systems and conveyor systems, and excelling in both low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) systems.

What You Will Bring:

• Trade Qualification: An Australian-recognised trade qualification is essential.
• Proven experience as an industrial or FMCG maintenance fitter, highlighting your strong mechanical skills and commitment.
• Experience in PLC fault finding, motor control, conveyor systems, and both LV and HV systems is vital, along with established leadership abilities in rostering and maintenance scheduling, will be highly regarded.
• While a forklift license, confined spaces certification, EWP (Elevated Work Platform) training, and switching qualifications are desirable, they are not mandatory.
