Exige Law is a high-calibre, boutique, commercial law firm. We pride ourselves on providing strategic, pragmatic and commercially focused legal solutions. To continue to grow our team of five, we are seeking an experienced lawyer who will play a key role in building our commercial practice.

About the Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to take ownership of their matters and work within a commercially focused and pragmatic law firm. You will manage your own files from start to finish, provide strategic advice directly to clients and drive outcomes across a broad range of commercial and property matters. Working collaboratively with the Principal in a supported and mentored environment, you will play an integral role in shaping the firm's growth, systems and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on a range of commercial and property matters.
  • Preparing and reviewing shareholder, partnership and joint venture agreements.
  • Assisting with business and commercial acquisitions, entity establishment and structuring.
  • Advising on construction, development matters.
  • Assisting in commercial acquisitions and leasing transactions.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supporting litigation and dispute resolution matters where required.

About You:

  • 5–10 years post-admission experience in commercial and/or property law.
  • Strong drafting and advisory skills.
  • Experience managing client files and delivering outcomes independently.
  • Litigation experience (commercial or property) is desirable as spillover assistance from litigation may occur.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven approach and genuine interest in helping shape a growing practice.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Motivated to contribute to the growth and positive culture of the firm.
