About the role:

This role will design, manage and oversee the development of contemporary funding policy that underpins the sound financial management of Victorian health services, including public hospitals, community health providers and public sector residential aged care services. This includes the design and implementation of funding policy reforms, undertaking funding policy reviews and reviewing/developing accountability and performance frameworks to support key divisional and departmental priorities.

In addition, this role will oversee a team of technical experts who monitor the impact of funding changes at a state and national level and lead advocacy efforts into national forums.

  • Able to provide strong leadership to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to build shared commitment and coordinate implementation.
  • Able to lead, sustain and influence key relationships internally and externally.
  • Recognised for your expertise in leading and delivering change in complex environments and for your deep understanding of the Victorian health system.
  • A tertiary qualification in fields related to health, business and/or management would be desirable.
