Associate Director/ Division Director – Data and AI Risk Management

Join our Data and AI Risk Management team within Macquarie Group's Corporate Operations Group where you will support the Head of Risk and Chief Data and AI Officer in reducing data risk across Macquarie by partnering with Groups and Framework teams to accelerate risk reduction. The Frameworks cover key areas such as Data Management, Data Architecture, Records, Information Security, AI, Privacy, and Data Sovereignty.

What role will you play?
Reporting to the Head of Risk, Data and AI, you will lead a high performing team accountable for driving data risk reduction, through insights, enhancing risk management practices, robust governance and monitoring and operationalisation of data management capabilities. You will collaborate with Line 2 ensuring alignment and oversight of enterprise-wide data risk governance frameworks, own key deliverables and the associated reporting for the Enterprise Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee on Enterprise Data Management, whilst building and supporting strong relationships with key stakeholders across Line 1, Non-Financial Risk Data Leads, Line 2 and Internal Audit.
In this role, you will work with Groups on the implementation and adoption of the data management framework supported by measures and metrics to track the effectiveness and support the design, implementation and maintenance of these metrics to ensure alignment with Macquarie's risk appetite and regulatory expectations. You will also support the integration and evolution of AI governance into the broader enterprise risk management framework. In addition, you will mentor a team of high-performing managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement, whilst driving the team's professional development to ensure strategic goals are delivered and value added across the enterprise.
What you offer

- Strong understanding of enterprise data management frameworks, risk appetite metrics, and governance reporting
- Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders, including Board-level committees, risk management groups, and internal audit teams
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing high-performing teams and delivering results in a complex, matrixed environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience preparing and presenting materials for senior executives and Boards.
