Job Description

Elastomers Australia are seeking a practical and hands on Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team based in Campbellfield. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to the organisation's local and interstate sales and service teams in expanding and maintaining the screen media market of the Company.

Duties

  • Using Solidworks to create CAD models and drawings
  • Provide technical and engineering support to the interstate and local sales, tooling and manufacturing teams
  • With the support of the Engineering team, manage engineering projects from start to finish autonomously
  • Detailed design and development of tooling
  • Development of internal Engineering procedures within the Engineering Team
  • Ensuring Elastomers Australia policies and procedures are always complied to, including the strictest compliance to OH&S and QA policies both internally and externally

Requirements

  • Hold a completed Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Mechatronic or Manufacturing) or similar
  • Have experience within the Mining and Mineral Processing Industry (or Similar Industrial/Agricultural Industry) - Desirable
  • Have a passion for the mining industry
  • Ideally have up to 3 - 5 years of experience in a Project/Mechanical engineer role or similar
  • A trade background is advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience in use of Solid Works (intermediate to advanced skill level) – this is essential
  • Experience with Polyurethane and Rubber Materials highly regarded
  • Hands on approach is a must - willingness to assist with maintenance work
  • Experience working in an SME environment
  • Have the ability to work autonomously whilst having good time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Have the ability to solve problems and take initiative
  • Ability to travel interstate when required to conduct product inspections and / or perform servicing / maintenance work on the screen media
  • Have the desire to grow and develop within the team
