On behalf of our client, Whyte Investments Pty Ltd, is looking for enthusiastic, skilled Cafe Manager to join their team.

We are looking for an individual to take our business beyond being just a day café. To capitalise on the facilities and space we have and to take our business forward to the next level.

You must have at least one year of full-time employment experience managing cafes and have knowledge of the workings within the Australian café/restaurant industry. The successful candidate will be organised, professional and able to work at a fast pace.

The position requires an Australian Diploma degree in Hospitality Management, or overseas equivalent.

As our Cafe Manager you will work closely with the General Manager to uphold high standards in all areas of the café/restaurant, including the customer experience, the workplace culture and the financial results.

Duties:

  • Manage and supervise staff, including rostering, training, recruiting and reviewing performance of the team
  • Plan and coordinate the day to day operations of our cafe
  • Control the preparation and presentation of food and beverages at our cafe to ensure quality is consistent
  • Control stock levels and order necessary items for our cafe as required
  • Operate and manage target budgets and financial transactions, including cash handling and reporting to the General Manager
  • Ensure compliance with work health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards including compliance with HACCP.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors on supply contracts and ensure that the goods ordered are delivered on agreed schedule.

You will have:

  • At least three (3) years of professional experience as a Café/Restaurant Manager on a full-time basis
  • Australian Diploma in Hospitality Management or overseas equivalent,
  • Computer skills
  • Social media interest (Instagram, Facebook)
  • Interest in Australian cafe culture & food.

This is a full-time position requiring the successful candidate to live and work in the Perth region.
