The Robin Hood Hotel, Norwood is looking for an energetic, motivated and proactive maintenance person to join our Team. You will be joining a team who takes pride in their workplace, presenting an efficient and presentable venue to its Customers. You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the facilities of our Hotel.

The successful person will have proven maintenance experience, the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You must have an eye for detail and the ability to effectively problem solve.

This role provides flexible work hours and variety of tasks. Reporting to the Hotel Owner and Venue Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:-

Candidates must be available for 15-25 hours per week to meet operational requirements.

  • Carry out and complete all maintenance work/requests, ensuring a high quality of work
  • Have sound knowledge of a range of general hand work such as plastering, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
  • Ability to liaise with Hotel Manager regarding use of contractors within the hotel, controlling expenditure and ensuring work is to the standard required by the company.
  • Ability to handle and maintain all power tools
  • Carry out work and preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner
  • Have exceptional eye for detail, ensuring all areas, both front and back of house are presented to a high standard
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with Staff & Contractors
  • Maintaining occupational health and safety requirements by ensuring that work is carried out safely and securing all areas of work at all times
  • Experience in a similar role within a customer service industry would be an advantage.

  • Receiving of goods/supplies & implementation of appropriate stock take and stock control

This is a Casual position where you may be required to work a Weekend or Public Holiday on occasion to meet business needs.
