**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Maintenance Person position is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of CGQ properties and their surroundings. This role is critical in promoting a positive CGQ culture and ensuring the safety and well-being of our tenants.

**ABOUT YOU**
- A proactive approach to maintenance tasks required
- Prior experience in property maintenance and familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
- Effective communication skills essential for interacting with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Valid driver's license
- Current Australian working rights
- A readiness to take on challenges and ensure tasks are completed safely and to high standards

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Follow repairs and maintenance schedules provided to you
- Carry out vacant tenancy cleans and repairs for CGQ properties.
- Attend to non-routine cleaning tasks as required.
- Report cleaning or repair requirements, supply issues, and problems to the Operations Manager or Property and Tenancy Officer.
- Implement effective waste management practices, including rubbish tip, skip bins, and general waste management facilities.
- Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including yard and garden maintenance for all CGQ properties.
- Ensure all tenant interactions are conducted in a friendly and professional manner.
- Report tenant well-being issues to the Operations Manager.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement that positively impact tenant or building amenity.

**Key selection criteria**
- Ability to operate power tools and equipment
- Ability to consistently deliver high quality work
- Ability to contribute to maintenance procedures and refining maintenance outcomes
- Ability to co-ordinate with other team members and work collaboratively
- Ability to identify and report on issues
- Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety relating to cleaning and maintenance issues
- Ability to undertake general maintenance tasks
- Willingness to undergo a criminal history check
- Drivers licence

**Desirable**
- Manual drivers licence
