The Opportunity

We are looking for a Finance Manager – FP&A to join our high-performing team at Ventia. This is a dynamic and varied role that blends technical financial expertise with strategic insight and stakeholder engagement.

Reporting to the Group Manager, FP&A, you will provide clear, accurate, and insightful analysis on business performance to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the broader organisation. You'll also play a key role in the preparation of robust annual budgets and quarterly forecasts aligned to our corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse performance across project, sector, and Group levels.
  • Identify key risks, opportunities, and trends; report on both financial and non-financial performance indicators.
  • Deliver high-quality commentary on monthly Group performance, including profit and loss analysis, work in hand, net working capital, cash flow, and balance sheet movements.
  • Coordinate Group-level budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and updates to the multi-year strategic plan.
  • Support external reporting requirements, including half-yearly and annual results and continuous disclosure obligations under ASX regulations.
  • Conduct insightful analysis to support ad-hoc requests from the CEO, CFO, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Champion the evolution of reporting tools, including SAP, BPC, and Power BI, driving automation and improved data quality.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • CPA or CA qualification required.
  • Strong foundation in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable; familiarity with BPC and Power BI is a strong advantage.
  • Skilled in financial modelling and scenario analysis.
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior executive stakeholders.
