About the role

As a Migration Lawyer at Kingsford Lawyers', you will play a vital role in providing legal advice and assistance to clients navigating the complex field of Australian immigration law. Joining our growing team, you will work closely with our experienced legal professionals however you will be the "go to person" for immigration matters, together delivering exceptional service and outcomes for our diverse client base. This full-time position is based in our Ashmore, Queensland office.

What you'll be doing

1. Advising clients on visa eligibility, application requirements and the immigration process
2. Preparing and lodging visa applications with the Department of Home Affairs
3. Representing clients in migration-related matters, including tribunal hearings and court proceedings
4. Conducting detailed research on immigration legislation, regulations and policies
5. Collaborating with other team members to develop strategies and solutions for complex immigration cases
6. Maintaining detailed client records and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

What we're looking for

1. Admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia with a current practising certificate
2. Significant experience (minimum 3 years) in Australian immigration law and practice
3. Excellent communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate challenging immigration cases
5. Thorough understanding of the Migration Act, applicable regulations and relevant case law
6. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
7. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
