WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

We are seeking motivated Emergency Residents/Registrars and Senior Registrars to join the Southern Fleurieu Health Service Emergency Department. These are full-time, temporary 3-year contracts, classified as MDP2 or MDP3 depending on your experience and knowledge. You'll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred emergency care in a rural setting. HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Manage patient care in the Emergency Department collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health staff.
  • Provide after-hours code blue support to the inpatient medical unit.
  • Participate actively in a 24/7 roster, continuing education, and quality improvement programs.
  • Foster teamwork across disciplines to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and a positive workplace culture

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards.  To ensure that we meet that commitment there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake.  These are detailed on the Role Description, but are likely to include the following:

  • You will need to be immunised. You can refer to the SA Health Immunisation Policy here. Further information is in the application for to help guide you. 
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You will be required to hold registration with AHPRA to practice as a Medical Practitioner within our organisation. You will need to hold Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner, and be registerable as a Fellow (GP, Emergency Medicine, or equivalent fellowship) or close to finishing specialist training.
  • Total Indicative Remuneration Package includes award salary, leave loading, professional development and superannuation
