Crocare seeks an experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurse who has previous experience in residential aged care to work at Bell Park, Geelong, on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the provision of clinical care in accordance with legislation and practice within a professional framework. This position works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and requires relevant knowledge, skills and understanding, ability to administer medications and provide supervision of care staff in accordance with the Mission and Values of CroCare and appropriate contemporary nursing standards and competencies.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ability to lead and work as part of an effective team.
• Taking active involvement in the intake of new residents to the facility, ensuring they and their families understand their rights and responsibilities as well as CroCare's responsibilities and obligations; and
• Positive attitude and adaptable to change within an evolving service.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work efficiently, autonomously, and respectfully within the team.

What you need:

• Current AHPRA Registration with no restrictions
• Experience in a similar role, including caring for residents with advanced dementia.
• Ideally you will have previous experience within an aged care setting as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse.
• An organised and empathetic approach to clinical care
• Proven communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
• Understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
• A current police check or the ability to obtain.
• Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia.
• Evidence that you have had the Covid19 Vaccinations
• Evidence that you have had your recent Flu Vaccination or willingness to complete.
• Availability to do 6 shifts a fortnight, at minimum.

Victorian Croatian Aged Care Services (Cro Care) aims to provide quality caring services for the ageing with dignity and respect, care, and support for each resident as an individual, in the tradition of the Croatian Australian community in our newly built aged care facility.

Set on a large site with beautiful, landscaped gardens, Cro Care is a newly built state of the art aged care home located in Geelong, with an allocation of 100 beds, including the ability to accommodate 28 consumers in our secure Memory Support Unit.

It consists of lounge areas, library, café, hairdressing salon, private dining area, landscaped gardens and numerous courtyards for residents and their families and friends to enjoy.
