Receptionist / Animal attendant

Pawtails Rural Retreat is seeking a receptionist /animal attendant to join the retreat. We are a dog and cat boarding facility located in Laggan, 10 minutes from Crookwell.

As the first point of contact, you will contribute to the daily reception operations at our retreat and understand the importance that a cohesive front of house team plays in liaising with our clients and their fur family members.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Answering phone lines
• Greeting and managing clients and pets
• Pet admissions and departures
• Scheduling appointments
• Emailing
• Client and pet data management
• Bank reconciliations
• Xero
• Providing administrative support to management
• Cleaning reception areas
• Stock deliveries and unpacking
• Animal handling

Experience in reception would be advantageous. However we are willing to train the right candidate.

To be considered for this opportunity you must demonstrate:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills in Word and Excel
• Ability to competently handle and care for dogs and cats of all ages and at various levels of training
• A high level of initiative, enthusiasm and energy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate sensitively and respectfully with relevant stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a team, and under direction
• Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks
• The ability to follow through with all tasks; be reliable and accountable
• Mature and professional approach to your work and presentation
• Must be able to lift up to 15kg

This position is Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
