Job description

Global Art Waverley Centre is looking for Assistant Art Teacher/Art Teacher. Experience working or managing with children is preferred. Art background is advantageous but not a must as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

To teach and guide preschool and school-aged children drawing, painting and craftwork based on Global Art International syllabus. The role requires managing a classroom of children and guiding them through their work.

Additional responsibilities include preparing classroom pre-lessons & tidying up post-lessons, answering parents' enquiries regarding Global Art syllabus, and updating parents of their child's progress and some administrative work.

Selection criteria:

  • Experience in working with children (classroom management is advantageous) and organised.
  • Reliable, punctual and have a friendly manner
  • Have time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Have basic drawing skills
  • Bilingual language skills (Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous, but not a must)
  • Have the right to work in Australia & permitted to work without restriction
  • Have valid Working With Children Check or able to obtain one upon successful application
  • Able to work various shifts (Morning /After school and Weekends)
  • Committed to attend Global Art Full Training & Complete Workbook to practise what's been taught at Training
