As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking an exceptional Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor to lead our vibrant service and uphold our commitment to quality early childhood education and care.


About the Role

As Centre Director, you will provide visionary and operational leadership to the Ryde team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, and the cultivation of a child-safe, learning-rich environment. You will lead and mentor a team of passionate educators, foster strong relationships with families, and ensure high-quality educational programs that reflect the Early Years Learning Framework and Orchard's pedagogical philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the effective operation of the centre, including staffing, rosters, compliance, and quality curriculum.
  • Act as the Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of high-quality, child-centred educational programs.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture through professional development, coaching, and performance management.
  • Build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, staff, and the wider community.
  • Drive continuous improvement through effective leadership, innovation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, including the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Child Safe Standards.

About You

You will be an experienced and inspiring leader with a deep understanding of early childhood education, compliance frameworks, and contemporary pedagogical practice. You are driven by quality, motivated by purpose, and committed to the wellbeing of children and families.

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership or Director role within an early childhood setting.
  • Approved Nominated Supervisor status (or ability to obtain).
  • Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, and relevant legislation.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
