As a Project Scheduler you will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring that timelines and deliverables are met efficiently. Your expertise in scheduling will be critical to the successful management of project timelines and resource allocation. You will assist the Project Director and Program Managers in the application of monitoring the projects in relation to project planning by loading, monitoring, and generating reports.
You will impact the organization by optimizing project schedules, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates the projects planning and scheduling systems, work processes and reports necessary to support the total program of work.
- Provides functional support of project control activities including project baseline schedules manhour budgets, labour resourcing, forecasting validation and earned value assessment.
- Ensures that Project planning and scheduling deliverables are accurate and delivered to the Project Director and Program Managers in a timely manner.
- Works closely with the Senior Scheduler, Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Clients, and Sub-contractors to identify potential changes in scope and quantify the impact of any changes through the Primavera tool.
- Assists the Program Managers identifying potential concerning project delivery schedules and participate in the development of recovery and resolution plans
- Maintain current knowledge of the individual projects and all amendments and change orders for the project.
- Update information to Honeywell forecast tool.
- Build credible relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and project teams.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Planning or Scheduling would be advantageous
- 3+ years related industry experience
- Extensive working experience with Primavera P3 or p6
- Ability to master new software systems, especially in the areas of Project Management
- Preferable experience with portfolio of projects.
- Highly proficient in all the key areas of scheduling.
- SAP experience is desirable.
- Knowledgeable about the generally accepted industry best practice in this area.
- Excellent verbal/written/presentation skills.
- Ability to work and prosper in a flexible dynamic team environment.
- Ability to travel to sites if required.
- Time and resource management
