We are seeking an experienced
After-Hours Telehealth GP Locum
to join our team. This flexible role allows you to work remotely while making a meaningful impact in aged care.

About The Role
As an After-Hours GP Locum, you will:

  • Conduct after-hours telehealth rounds for residential aged care facilities.
  • Provide acute medical support, clinical oversight, and continuity of care for residents.
  • Update medication charts, issue prescriptions, and order investigations as needed.
  • Manage and follow up on acute issues raised by facility staff.
  • Communicate with family members and provide referrals to specialists where required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation within 30 minutes of completing rounds.

Work Schedule

  • Weekday evenings: 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
  • Weekends: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm | 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm | 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
  • Average 4 consultations per hour, depending on case complexity.
  • Consultations may be initiated by either residents or facility staff.
  • Full administrative support provided.

About You
You are a compassionate and adaptable GP who embraces innovative models of care and values flexibility. You will bring:

  • Current AHPRA General or Specialist Registration.
  • Experience in residential aged care or primary care settings (highly regarded).
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
  • Confidence using telehealth platforms and electronic medical records.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Reliable internet connection and your own laptop.
