What will your typical week look like?
  • Work across a diverse portfolio of clients including government, risk advisory projects, not-for-profit, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and financial services including many large and household brands
  • Manage, coordinate and delegate client work to team members with an appropriate level of capacity in line with the Internal Audit programs and risk advisory requirements of our clients
  • Lead and develop a team of service - oriented staff, ensuring high standards of compliance
  • Attract, develop and retain a high performing team
  • Develop and empower team members to deliver exceptional client service through training, coaching, mentoring and performance review processes
  • Take action to drive initiatives to increase engagement and drive performance
  • Provide opportunities for team members to take the lead with smaller internal audit clients with the view to developing a capable team of Internal Auditors
  • Identify areas for further development within the team to build greater Internal Audit capacity
  • Provide recommendations and propose solutions to your clients through the preparation of business reports, presentations and other forms of communication and advice
  • Establish strong relationships with clients and audit team members to maintain and drive on-going improvement and build your network in the business community.

Let's talk about you
  • Experience in managing internal audit and risk advisory projects including agreeing the timetables, scheduling the team, overseeing the work undertaken, formulating meaningful advice and preparing deliverables.
  • The ability to prepare and review client deliverables including engagement letters, project status updates and final reports for the client
  • A solid understanding of risk, assurance and controls, either in a general capacity or focused on a specific area
  • Membership to a professional body such as IIA Certified CAANZ, CPA, CA, CISA, ISACA or BCI Certified or RMIA Certified (highly regarded but not essential)
  • An investigative mind with the ability to logically and correctly analyse information to inform findings and conclusions
  • A commitment to continuing to develop our internal Audit and Risk Consulting practice and a desire to grasp career opportunities that will arise.
