The organisation

Crime Stoppers Victoria (CSV) is a not-for-profit organisation that empowers Victorians to feel safe and to help keep each other safe. For over 35 years, we have been helping Victorians make their community safer by helping them to prevent crime and to confidentially report crime information.

About the role

The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Marketing & Communication and work closely with Victoria Police members and other CSV stakeholders to coordinate the creation and delivery of high-quality assets. The role will develop collateral for both Crime Stoppers partners and brand campaigns and assist with the production of content for social media channels and our website.

The role will be hands-on, requiring the ability to create through to the finished art or printed product and will also require static, audio, and video production capabilities.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract until August 2026.

Job responsibilities

Graphic Design & Social Media

• Graphic Design

• Produce collateral (posters, social media tiles, flyers, print ads, etc) for Crime Stoppers partner campaigns and Crime Stoppers branded campaigns

• Produce and edit campaign videos

• Work with printers and suppliers to deliver finished collateral

• Create organised templates and files for collaborative purposes

• Create engaging content for social media and the CSV website

• Develop an increased awareness of CSV and its work

Website & Admin

• Help the Digital Marketing Officer maintain and manage site updates

• Manage emails and correspondence with shareholders

• Create visuals for landing pages in partnership with the Digital Marketing Officer

Key Selection Criteria

Skills required

• A Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing and/or any other relevant qualification

• A minimum of 3 years experience as a Graphic Designer is essential

• Proficiency in creating designs from a briefing document using graphic design, video and sound editing programs, such as Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign/Premiere Pro/Audition and After Effects

• Maturity and the ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in dealing with confidential matters

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail

• Problem-solving ability with a strong client service focus and a "can-do" attitude

Skills desired

• Experience using WordPress

• Experience using the Adobe Suite, including Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator/Premiere Pro/Audition/After Effects

• Experience using Canva, or a similar graphic design program

Personal qualities

• Ability to adapt to the ever-changing pace of media and campaign deadlines

• Proven ability to work in a small team

• The ability to deal comfortably with ambiguity and complexity

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and work productively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders

• The ability to ask questions when unsure and the confidence to make suggestions for improvement

• Demonstrate an aptitude and willingness to learn new programs or skills, as required

• Demonstrate a high level of motivation and commitment to the values and ethos of CSV
