Nursery Picker Packer/Forklift Operator

About the role

As a Nursery Dispatch Hand at Azalea Wholesale nursery, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our plant nursery in Heatherton, Victoria. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle.  Forklift Licence is preferred, but for the right candidate we are willing to train and assist in obtaining one. Your primary responsibilities will involve carefully preparing, weeding, trimming, and labelling plants, packing and dispatching orders to our valued clients, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of high-quality plants. What you'll be doing

• Carefully select, package, and load plants for dispatch to customers
• Operating standard LF Forklifts
• Liaise with the nursery team to ensure accurate order fulfilment
• Maintain the dispatch area in a clean, organised, and efficient manner
• Assist with general nursery duties as required
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a similar dispatch or nursery role, preferably within the horticulture industry
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
• Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy plant materials
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• A passion for plants and a commitment to providing high-quality service
