About the role

ACE CIVIL SOLUTIONS' is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Mount Gambier, SA. This is a full-time position where you'll play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects and helping us deliver high-quality results for our clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate excavators and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites
  • Perform site preparation, excavation, and earthmoving tasks as per project requirements
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on the equipment you operate
  • Work closely with the site manager and other construction personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards
  • Maintain detailed records of work activities, machine usage, and safety checks
  • Identify and report any equipment issues or safety concerns to the site supervisor

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry
  • Relevant certificates and licences, including a HR class driver's licence and excavator operation certification
  • Strong knowledge of construction equipment operation, including excavators, loaders, and other heavy machinery
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • A committed and safety-conscious approach to your work
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions
