We are currently seeking an Assistant Quality Assurance Engineer to support major programs of work within our Digital Debt team in Revenue NSW.
In this role, you will test, suggest changes and improve end to end quality of our digital products. This will include support in compliance monitoring, issue resolution and reporting to provide consistent quality assurance.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake software testing by writing and executing functional and non-functional tests at each level
- Identify and raise defects with the squad to improve quality of systems development
- Provide support and advice with implementation of quality assurance recommendations to both external and internal stakeholders to ensure quality assurance objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain systems and processes including writing automation tests and reviewing release scripts across environments to ensure accuracy, currency and compliance
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Writing and executing test scripts
- Supporting test plans, test summaries and status reports
- Ability to identify and create data in various formats
- Experience in executing User Interface and API Testing
- Ability to identify and create data in various formats
- A growth mindset to learn new technologies and QA practices
- Experience in JIRA, Gitlab and Confluence
- Familiar with SQL and experienced in database related testing
- Functional experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, TDD, CI/CD, etc.
- Familiar with at least one programming language for test automation
- Experience in AWS, Windows, SQL Server, Desktop application testing is a bonus
