Hairdresser – Full-Time Position

About the Role:

As a key member of our salon team, your responsibilities may include:

  • Consulting with clients to understand their needs and preferences
  • Cutting hair using scissors, clippers, or razors
  • Shampooing, conditioning, and rinsing hair
  • Performing colouring, bleaching, treatments, perming, straightening, and tinting
  • Styling hair using brushes, combs, straighteners, and other tools
  • Trimming and shaving beards and moustaches
  • Providing expert hair care advice
  • Working with wigs and hairpieces — shaping, colouring, cleaning, curling, and cutting
  • Attending training sessions and seminars to stay current with trends and techniques
  • Operating salon software and managing transactions at the register
  • Handling reception duties including phone calls and appointments
  • Selling retail hair products
  • Maintaining client records
  • Keeping the salon clean and equipment sanitized

What We're Looking For:

  • Certificate III or IV in Hairdressing
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience
  • A pleasant, client-focused personality
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Creative flair and attention to detail
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to follow instructions and be a strong team player
  • No allergies to hair products

  • 8 hour shift
  • Afternoon shift
  • Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Tuggeranong ACT: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Hair styling: 3 years (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (Preferred)
