We are seeking a motivated and experienced Groundsman to join our team at Davies Park, the proud home of Souths Logan Magpies. This role is responsible for maintaining our playing surface and facilities to the highest standard, ensuring a safe and professional environment for players, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Turf management, including mowing, fertilising, irrigation, pest/disease control, and turf repair.
  • General facility, grounds and garden maintenance across the venue.
  • Managing and adhering to budgets for grounds and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensuring the field and surrounds are prepared for training, game days, and community events.
  • Liaising with management and external contractors where required.
  • Working with event staff to prepare the facility for functions.
  • Maintenance of all machinery and equipment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in turf management and general grounds maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of turf care practices and equipment operation.
  • Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle, utility preferred.
  • Current Blue Card.
  • Ability to manage budgets and work within allocated resources.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
