About Us

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated full time trainee to join our team at Bolton Point Child Care Centre commencing in January 2026

Bolton Point Child Care Centre is fully committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all children and young people in our care. These commitments enhance our ability to prevent and respond to any concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children. This includes a thorough onboarding process for all new team members, ensuring they understand and uphold our child safety expectations form day one.

Bolton Point Child Care Centre is a 42 place not for profit community-based Child Care Centre caring and educating children aged 0-5 years of age. Our centre is situated in Lake Macquarie near the lake which provides great opportunities for community involvement, excursions for children at our centre within our local area.

The centre offers a play-based approach to learning where the children are able to engage in a variety of play spaces to develop their own interest, while being provided the opportunity to participate in planned learning experiences that will extend their current learning and knowledge.

We have a small team of educators at the centre with various qualifications and years of experience. Our team takes pride in working collaboratively together as a team sharing daily responsibilities and tasks.

The centre has a supportive management team who prioritises staff growth and wellbeing with a focus on compassion and fairness along with ensuring the needs of the children and families at the centre.

Being a small centre there are so many opportunities for all educators to build positive relationships with all children and their families while being a consistent face as they move throughout the rooms at centre.

The Position

We are currently seeking a Full-time Trainee to join our team. This position is for a 38 hour a week role and will be required to work Monday to Friday. Study time is provided to successful applicants with support and mentoring provided by experienced Educators working in the room.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age and over
  • Able to commit to an 18-month study placement.
  • Current Working with Children's Check.
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Genuine desire to enter the Early Childhood Industry and a commitment to complete the training.
  • Be professional, enthusiastic, motivated and reliable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to work within a team environment.
  • demonstrated basic computer skills.

Desirable Requirements:

Previous experience working with children
