The Opportunity

We're looking for passionate Lecturers—
full-time, part-time, or casual
—to teach in our
Master of Social Work (Qualifying)
program. Reporting to the Academic Lead, you'll deliver engaging, research-informed teaching, contribute to curriculum quality, and support the success of future social work professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver high-quality lectures, workshops, discussions, and assessments.
  • Support student learning and track progress with accurate academic records.
  • Work closely with the Course Coordinator/Academic Lead and colleagues to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Identify and assist students experiencing academic challenges.
  • Develop and update learning materials that boost student engagement.
  • Contribute to course administration, assessment design, and quality compliance.
  • Mark assessments and return results promptly.
  • Innovate teaching approaches and collaborate on course enhancements.
  • Participate in team meetings, orientation, and induction activities.

What You Bring

  • PhD in Social Work or related Human and Community Services discipline (minimum 2 years of tertiary teaching preferred).
  • Relevant industry experience aligned with teaching content.
  • Membership with AASW or an equivalent professional body.
