About the role
We are seeking a casual and permanent role for Pathology Collector to join our dedicated team within Ballarat, Daylesford and Kyneton Victoria. This position will suit self-motivated individuals with a high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a strong focus on outstanding customer service.
Specific duties include:
· Collection of blood and other samples from patients.
· Attending to the care, storage and processing of pathology specimens.
· Attend to paperwork and associated clerical duties to ensure all details are correct in a timely manner.
Skills and experience:
· Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection or relevant industry experience.
· Exceptional customer service skills both in person and over the telephone.
· Exceptional time management skills.
· Sound clinical knowledge.
· Ability to communicate effectively with the collections team, doctors, patients and other stakeholders.
· Ability to work alone and participate in weekday and weekend shifts across any of our collection centres.
· Computer skills.
· A current Driver's License.
· Rights to work in Australia.
