The Role

Reporting to the Senior Sales Executive, the Customer Engagement Specialist is responsible for actively engaging with a broad range of customers through outbound calls, in-person visits, and video meetings. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role where you'll promote and sell the full EMPR product portfolio, generate new business opportunities, and strengthen relationships with existing customers.

Your focus will be on expanding EMPR's customer base, building brand awareness, and driving revenue growth, while representing EMPR at networking events and in customer meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound sales activities (cold calling, video meetings, face-to-face visits) to generate new business.
  • Attend industry functions and networking events to represent EMPR and build connections.
  • Promote EMPR's entire product portfolio across retailers, resellers, education, government, corporate, and end-users.
  • Manage and record all activity in the CRM system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Achieve defined KPIs around outbound activity, sales targets, and customer engagement.
  • Build strong customer relationships through quote follow-up, product support, and timely responses.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and upsell across our product range.
  • Collaborate internally to ensure seamless customer experiences and share market insights.
  • Keep up-to-date on customer trends, competitor offerings, and EMPR's alignment with the Right to Repair and Circular Economy.
  • Support new product launches and marketing campaigns through direct customer engagement.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years' experience in retail or B2B sales, ideally with outbound engagement (phone or face-to-face).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with a drive to meet ambitious sales targets.
  • Customer-first mindset with a passion for service and building relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales engagements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial, imaginative, and approachable style.
  • Valid driver's licence (required for customer visits).
  • Certificate III/IV in Sales, Business, or similar (preferred but not essential).
  • Police clearance may be required (depending on customer requirements).
