Junior Construction Supervisor

About the role

As a Construction Supervisor at Superior Granny Flats', you'll play a vital role in overseeing the efficient and safe delivery of residential construction projects in south east Queensland. This full-time position involves managing onsite teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring all work aligns with company standards and industry regulations.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervise and coordinate the work of construction crews and subcontractors to ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
2. Monitor site activities, productivity, and safety compliance, taking corrective action as needed
3. Liaise with clients, certifiers, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
4. Assist with the planning and scheduling of project activities to optimise workflow and resource utilisation
5. Provide hands-on support and guidance to the construction team as required
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and practices

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or similar role in the residential construction industry
2. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant building codes and regulations
3. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills
4. Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and colleagues
6. A construction-related qualification or certification would be highly regarded
