City of Newcastle (CN) currently has a temporary opportunity for a passionate
Early Childhood Educator (Diploma)
to support the team at our Beresfield Community Children's Education Centre in this full-time opportunity (38 hours per week) until August 2026.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will assess abilities of individual children and group dynamics to ensure daily experiences enhance child development. You will design and implement appropriate developmental programs for children that are emergent and in line with children's individual strengths and interests. Additionally, you'll act as a role model, employing appropriate strategies and techniques to guide children's behaviour, creating a harmonious learning environment, and utilising your excellent communication skills to provide an open communication channel with parents and guardians on the learning and development of children in our care.

As a successful candidate you'll observe all legislative requirements, ensuring National Quality standards are adhered to, and will assess and record children's development, learning, and thinking using a variety of documentation methods, in line with current industry standards.
