At Coolibah Care, we're looking for a Painter to bring colour, care, and craftsmanship to our facilities. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining a homelike and uplifting environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out internal and external painting and decorating to a high standard of finish.
• Preparing surfaces with care – from plaster patching and sanding to setting – ensuring long-lasting results.
• Protecting furniture and property while you work, with minimal disruption to residents.
• Following workplace safety and infection control standards, always using protective equipment and safe work practices.
• Maintaining and caring for tools and materials.
• Working independently and managing your time effectively while keeping quality at the forefront.
• Engaging politely and professionally with residents, families, and colleagues.

What we're looking for

• A trade qualification in painting (with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience).
• Proven track record of high-quality painting and decorating work – with an eye for detail.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and safety practices.
• The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects efficiently.
• Good physical fitness to carry out manual tasks such as moving furniture and ladder use.
• Excellent communication skills and a respectful, consumer-focused approach.
• Current National Police Clearance.
• Up-to-date COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations (highly recommended).
