Role Summary
EB are seeking suitably qualified & career minded Mechanical Maintainers to join the Maintenance team in a permanent, full-time capacity at their manufacturing facility based in Westbury, Tasmania.
As part of this growth phase, EB has two newly created positions available for Maintainers. These positions will be working on day shift and will have the added benefit of monthly RDO's.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
- Undertaking fitting, fabrication or repair to fixed plant and equipment.
- Installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
- Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
- Complete work orders to appropriate standards as directed in accordance with all safety and permit requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot defective or failed plant or equipment in conjunction with other qualified trades.
- Work in a safe and environmentally conscious manner in accordance with cGMP.
About You

Specific qualifications, experience and abilities will include:
- Certificate III Mechanical trade qualifications (Australian recognised) with broad post trade heavy industrial experience highly regarded.
- Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
- Understanding of financial implications of maintenance at a job level.
- A thorough understanding of contemporary maintenance work management practices.
- Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound computer literacy.
- The ability to work independently/unsupervised and as part of a team.
- The ability to provide out of hours support.
- A working understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
- A Forklift licence and EWP ticket are highly desirable.
- Confined Space and Working at Height experience and certification are desirable.
Extractas Bioscience will provide on-the-job training in systems to support the successful candidate in their role, such as Citect, Delta V, Maximo, AMS & Chemwatch. Experience working with these systems, whilst desirable, is not essential.
