About the Role:

Southern Pacific Sands is a leading supplier of quality washed silica sand, bio – retention filtration medium, soil products and quality ready mixed concrete, servicing Brisbane and Southeast Queensland.

As a Concrete Batcher, you will be responsible for the accurate batching of concrete to customer specifications, maintaining plant and equipment, and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the site. As 2IC, you will also support the Batcher in Charge with supervisory duties, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Role Requirements:

  • Operate batching plant to produce high-quality concrete
  • Ensure accuracy in batching and timely delivery of orders
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate raw material deliveries
  • Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping
  • Support the Supervisor and Batcher in Charge in overseeing staff and daily operations
  • Step in and drive an Agi when required
  • Step in as acting Batcher in Charge when required
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and comply with all safety procedures

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in concrete batching (essential)
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work Monday to Saturday, including early starts
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and lead
  • High level of commitment to safe work practices
  • HR Driver's licence
  • Possess a clean driving record
  • White Card (or Blue Card) - construction induction
  • Pass a pre-employment medical
