​As a Research Development Officer in our prestigious Faculty of Science, you'll have the opportunity to support world-class research and empower excellent academics. You'll play a key role in implementing strategies to enhance researcher development and research performance, with a specific focus on supporting ARC fellowship schemes. Your excellent administrative skills will be crucial in ensuring the smooth running of high-volume, deadline-driven processes in an optimised research environment.​

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Research Communications: Prepare, edit, and publish the Science Research Weekly Digest, keeping researchers informed of funding opportunities and events.

  • Support ARC Fellowship Applications: Administer the development and submission of ARC FT and DECRA schemes, providing guidance and maintaining tracking systems.

  • Coordinate Research Events: Assist in organising information sessions, seminars, and meetings to support applicants and application development.

  • Provide Technical Support: Respond to enquiries about application development, including troubleshooting for the Research Management System, Cayuse.

You are a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders and thriving in a fast-paced academic environment whilst maintaining high standards of service and accuracy.

You may also:

  • Possess a tertiary degree with relevant experience in the tertiary sector or complex organisations.

  • Have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate high levels of service orientation and the ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries.

  • Excel in organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to meet deadlines and balance competing demands.

  • Be adept at clearly communicating complex information to a broad audience of stakeholders.
