Role Type: 2-year full time role Salary: $109,334 per annum plus superannuation The opportunity: The Kidney Regeneration Group at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) is seeking a highly motivated Research Officer with expertise in kidney organoids to join our dynamic team within the Stem Cell Medicine Theme.

In this exciting role, you will contribute to cutting-edge kidney bioengineering research using technologies such as 3 D bioprinting and microfluidics, aiming to enhance stem cell-derived kidney tissue for future therapies.

Working under the supervision of Dr Jessica Vanslambrouck, you'll gain hands-on experience in innovative techniques, collaborate with leading scientists, and produce high-impact research.

This role is also part of re NEW – an international collaboration with centres in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Australia, focused on stem cell medicine.

Learn more: www.mcri-renew.org.au Your responsibilities include: Generating high-calibre research data and communicates data during laboratory meetings.

Conducts ethical research under the guidance of the supervisor at the highest level of integrity and in line with the Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research and MCRI policies.

Follows standard operating procedures, protocols, and guidelines.

Maintains accurate and orderly digital record keeping and data storage.

Is aware of, and adherence to, MCRI policy on Intellectual Property/Material Transfer Agreements/Contracts/Clinical and Public Health Outcomes.

Participates in opportunities for translation and commercialisation.

What we need from you: Ph D in a relevant scientific discipline Hands-on experience with kidney organoids and pluripotent stem cells Skills in bioengineering methods (e.g., 3 D bioprinting, microfluidics) Strong molecular biology and microscopy skills Proven track record in scientific communication and publications Collaborative, organised, and committed to high-quality research Who we are Murdoch Children's Research Institute envisions a transformative future for child health.
