Join the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) and apply your MRI expertise in a unique setting where advanced clinical imaging drives world-class medical research. We are seeking an experienced MRI Radiographer to join our collaborative imaging team on a permanent part-time basis (2 days per week – Tuesday and Wednesday), with the potential for additional hours as operational needs arise.
About the Role
You will deliver high-quality imaging services to support both diagnostic care and research studies, working closely with clinicians, researchers, and study participants. You will apply rigorous MRI safety standards, optimise imaging protocols, and ensure accurate documentation and data integrity.
HMRI is commissioning the Cima.X Fit, a state-of-the-art whole-body 3T MRI system designed for advanced clinical and research imaging.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work with this next-generation platform in a dynamic, research-driven setting.
What You'll Bring
• Recognised qualification in diagnostic radiography (Australian or ASMIRT-recognised).
• Experience with MRI scanners in clinical and/or research settings.
• Strong understanding of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and patient care.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
Desirable: Postgraduate MRI qualifications with Siemens MRI experience
