We're looking for an experienced and passionate Barista to join our friendly team at Kicco McLaren Vale, located in the heart of wine country.

At Kicco, our baristas are the face and heart of the café — connecting customers to their coffee and creating memorable experiences with every cup. We're after someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a busy environment, and genuinely enjoys building relationships with regulars and teammates alike.

About the role

As a Barista, you'll be responsible for:

  • Preparing and presenting consistently high-quality coffee and beverages
  • Delivering warm, genuine customer service and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Maintaining coffee equipment, cleanliness, and safe food handling standards
  • Managing stock levels and assisting with daily café operations
  • Participating in training and team development to continually grow your skills

You'll be part of a collaborative team, working alongside supportive management in a café known for great coffee, local community spirit, and professional standards.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' barista experience in a busy café or hospitality environment
  • Passion for coffee and strong technical understanding of coffee preparation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to quality, consistency, and customer service excellence
  • Reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices with current Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain within first month)
  • Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
  • Right to work in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
