About the OPPORTUNITY:Key RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct STW, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the mechanical elements of Power and Propulsion systems.
  • Train and qualify as an Authorised Individual to operate and maintain HCF systems.
  • Bring your technical expertise to the team—share knowledge, drive best practices, and foster continuous improvement.
  • Plan, check, and carry out mechanical isolations of the ships Power and Propulsion systems.
  • Complete test, maintenance, and STW documentation using relevant digital tools.
  • Work closely with the HCF T&C Lead Technician to execute the T&C program.
  • Assist in training and upskilling staff, ensuring critical skills are shared across the team.
  • Ensure all work meets WHS legislation and BAE Systems SHE policies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Support Systems teams to deliver safe, effective solutions.
About YOU:
  • 5-10 years of experience in the mechanical elements of Power and Propulsion systems.
  • Test and commissioning of complex systems.
  • Hold a relevant mechanical qualification that's industry recognised.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills to tackle technical challenges across functions.
  • Skilled in planning and coordination to keep tasks on track.
  • Experienced in computer-based commissioning documentation, risk assessments, and work instructions.
  • Professional, technically sharp, and capable of working independently.
