We are currently seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work alongside engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure efficient and high-quality implementation of mechanical systems for solar installations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems such as racking systems, inverters, and electrical enclosures.
- Ensure mechanical systems are installed according to project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of solar farm mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during installation and post-installation phases.
- Work with project teams to develop schedules and manage resources for mechanical installations.
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance and repair of solar farm systems to ensure maximum efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to source mechanical components and materials for projects.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and systems to ensure their optimal functioning.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in mechanical engineering technical support, ideally in the renewable energy or solar industry.
- Knowledge of solar farm systems, including mechanical components
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles
- Proficiency with CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.

**Desirable Attributes**:

- Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques and technologies.
- Familiarity with industry-standard safety protocols.
- Certification in relevant engineering software or tools.
