The role

Key responsibilities undertaken by the Works Supervisor – Inspections and Unsealed Roads include:

  • Responsible for supervising and leading a team of staff focused on the maintenance and construction of unsealed roads across the shire
  • Undertake and/or coordinate asset condition inspections to ensure legislative compliance with the adopted Road Management Plan
  • Inspect hazards/ defects/ requests and complaints raised through the Customer Service Request System, and ensure resulting works are actioned in accordance with the RMP, asset management plan or the customer service charters
  • Ensure the efficient, safe and effective operation of plant and equipment in association with these duties.

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant experience and qualifications in municipal or civil works, including experience in leading and coordinating large teams.
  • Proven knowledge of and experience in grader operations within a road maintenance and construction environment.
  • The ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with all team members.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral a written.
  • The ability to conduct detailed reporting in relation to all aspects of the position.
