Job Description:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing practical assistance, emotional support, and companionship to individuals with disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

  • Supporting clients with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.

  • Accompanying clients to appointments, social outings, and recreational activities.

  • Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

  • Implementing individualized support plans developed in collaboration with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Documenting client progress and reporting any concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Compassionate and empathetic nature.

  • Strong communication in English and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Patience and understanding when working with individuals with diverse needs.

  • Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant training.

  • Previous experience in disability support or a related field preferred.
