Job Description

Your opportunity to join us on the PM shift at Murarrie

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee our PM shift at Murarrie. In this role, you will ensure smooth, safe and efficient production processes, while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. This is a hands-on leadership position, where you'll guide and support your team to achieve production targets, meet safety and quality standards, and continuously improve processes.

Our Murarrie site processes 1.3 million birds a week and this role will oversee 4 Team Leaders in your section, with responsibility for c. 80 staff across the shift. If you have managed similar sized teams in a busy food manufacturing environment, we are keen to hear from you

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team to meet production goals
  • Ensure compliance is met across safety and food safety standards
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements where necessary
  • Provide hands-on support to the team, fostering collaboration and productivity
  • Oversee training and development to build team capability
  • Manage resources effectively to meet deadlines and achieve efficiency targets
  • Report on production outcomes and escalate issues as required

Key requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience in food production or meat processing is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Computer literacy and experience with production systems are advantageous
