Paediatric Occupational Therapist (Full Time or Part Time)

Campbelltown Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre is a reputable local physiotherapy centre providing evidence-based treatment of musculoskeletal injuries through manual therapy, education and exercise both in our clinical gym and our hydrotherapy centres.

We deliver a wide scope of practice ranging from musculoskeletal injuries, spinal rehabilitation and decompression, post-operative rehabilitation, fracture management, hydrotherapy and NDIS services.

Campbelltown Physiotherapy is also a registered NDIS provider for physiotherapy and hydrotherapy services to the physically and mentally challenged. Our mission is to provide support through therapy and education to improve the quality of life to our patients and their families.

Due to our demand for paediatric rehabilitation we have recently established our own complete sensory gym in order to further provide our patients with the best of care within our reach. We are thus seeking an OT who has experience with paediatrics to join our team of physiotherapists and EP's.

We are looking for a fun, energetic Occupational Therapist who has experience working with children, especially having a passion for working with children with disabilities. The person who best suits this role will naturally have a 'can-do' attitude and who is not shy of a challenge. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, naturally patient, and takes initiative. You will manage a diverse and challenging caseload which involves providing assessments, one-on-one interventions along-side our Senior Physiotherapist and team of Exercise Physiologists, with a 'fun with learning' attitude as well as providing support and education for families and their advocates.

The successful applicant will need:

• Bachelor or Masters of Occupational Therapy
• Minimum of 24 months experience in a similar role
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Current membership with Occupational Therapy Australia
• Eligibility for Medicare provider status
• Working With Children (WWC) Check
• National Police Check
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients, co-workers & other health professionals
• Ability to organise daily tasks

• Passion for on-going learning and progression of career

Key responsibilities include:

• Ability to work independently, unsupervised and as part of a group
• Assessment and management of patients
• Working with individual and groups of patients
• Communicating & reporting to other health and medical professionals
