Town Planner or Senior Town Planner

The OpportunityWe are seeking a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join our Perth based team.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to contribute to meaningful planning and development outcomes while gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects across Western Australia. You will work on strategic planning, land development, regional growth initiatives, and complex land matters unique to the state.
You will gain valuable experience in Crown Land, Native Title, Aboriginal heritage, and tenure considerations, with support to grow your expertise in these areas.
Regional travel within Western Australia may be required for stakeholder engagement, site assessments, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clear, well researched planning advice
• Manage development applications and planning processes across state and local frameworks
• Assess land use opportunities and development constraints
• Engage with government agencies, community groups, Traditional Owners, and industry partners
• Contribute to business development and new project opportunities
• Coordinate subconsultants to ensure successful project delivery

You will ideally have
• A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning
• Two to ten years of professional planning experience
• Knowledge of Western Australian planning legislation, policies, and approval processes
• Experience or interest in development applications, structure planning, and rezoning
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning related software
• A self motivated, proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
