About the role

Stormguard Roofing is seeking an experienced Roofing Supervisor to join our team in Caloundra, Queensland. As a full-time Roofing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of roofing projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervise and coordinate the work of roofing crews to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects
2. Inspect work in progress and completed projects to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
3. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
4. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
5. Provide training and guidance to roofing crew members to improve their skills and productivity
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety protocols
7. Participate in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance programs

What we're looking for

1. Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Roofing Supervisor or in a similar role within the building trades industry
2. Thorough knowledge of roofing materials, installation techniques, and best practices
3. Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and liaise with clients
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
6. Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards
7. Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., roofing, carpentry, or construction)
8. Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident holder
9. Must hold a licensed roof plumber certification
