This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Job Description

We're looking for multiple
Senior Analytics Engineers
who thrives on building scalable, high-quality data infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on
dbt development
, data modelling, and pipeline optimisation — all in service of delivering reliable and actionable outcomes to our stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Own & optimise dbt models
    – design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable, and documented transformations.
  • Build high-performance data pipelines
    using modern ELT tools to handle complex healthcare datasets.
  • Design scalable data infrastructure
    in collaboration with Analytics Engineering and Data teams.
  • Work cross-functionally
    with Product, BI, and other teams to ensure analytics solutions meet business needs.
  • Enforce data quality & governance
    through testing, documentation, and best practices.
  • Optimise our BI platform
    (Looker, Tableau) for performance, scalability, and user adoption.
  • Troubleshoot & improve
    — proactively identify data issues, optimise queries, and refine workflows.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with
    dbt
    in a production environment.
  • Strong
    SQL
    skills and hands-on experience with data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Experience with
    ETL/ELT orchestration tools
    (e.g., Airflow, Dagster).
  • Solid understanding of
    data modelling
    (relational, dimensional) and performance optimisation.
  • Proficiency in
    Python
    for analytics engineering tasks.
  • Familiarity with
    cloud-based architectures
    and scalable data solutions.
  • Bonus: Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare.
