Whats Involved?

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join the team in a permanent role at our Broadwater site.

The successful candidate will be a trained as a Relief Operator, who will be able to cover absences and allow for further upskilling and training of the current operator positions.

When not required to function as a Relief Operator the role will involve working in one of the fixed term operator positions, e.g. Crushing Attendant, Fugal Operator etc. The position requires participating in a continuous shift roster during the crushing period which typically runs from June to December.

During the non-crush period the successful candidate will join the maintenance team and work in their respective trades role, or as a labourer/trade assistant or other duties depending upon skills and qualifications.

We are looking for:

  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Able to make decisions based on analysis and evaluation of information, experience and judgment
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Commitment and good attitude to safety and culture
  • Team orientated mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and expertise
  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Sufficient physical fitness, sight and hearing
  • The ability to monitor and control several processes simultaneously
  • Initiative and demonstrated ability to learn
  • Flexibility to work rotating shift roster and be available for overtime
  • General computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
