Are you an experienced Senior Accountant looking for an exciting opportunity to grow professionally in a boutique and progressive accounting and advisory firm in East Brisbane?

About the role

As a Senior Accountant based primarily in our easy to access offices in East Brisbane
(with potential for work from home flexibility for the right candidate)
you will complete client work across a range of accounting, compliance, and advisory services. As part of this role you will have the opportunity to support our entrepreneurial clients from a range of industries with:


• Executing diverse client assignments encompassing accounting, compliance, and advisory functions.


• Handling tasks such as accounts preparation, annual tax returns, BAS preparation, and management of business services.


• Analyzing client management reports to identify opportunities for enhancing business performance.


• Conducting comprehensive taxation services, including researching and resolving tax-related queries, scrutinizing financial data, analyzing income and expenses, and overseeing the preparation and verification of tax returns. Additionally, managing the FBT system through information gathering, completion, and calculation procedures.


• Preparing and scrutinizing individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns alongside financial statements.


• Generating and managing financial reports utilizing various software platforms such as Xero.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

· Minimum 3+ years of experience in an Australian professional CA or CPA accounting practice.

· Proficiency in Xero, MYOB AE, BGL, and MS Office.

· Technical competency, AASB and IFRS.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Works well to deadlines with strong attention to detail and prioritisation.

· CA or CPA qualified (preferred)

· Self-starter with ability to work autonomously or part of a team.

· Professional "Can do" Attitude.

· Ability to build relationships.

· Clear police and credit checks.
